Meet the new logo for God's Original Designs in the Sky (G.O.D.S)

G.O.D.S is a new small business in it's planning phase that will be designing greeting cards and calendars.  

The future business owner requested a unique, one of a kind logo that truly represented the theme of the art work that is to be laced throughout his designs.

Heavenly inspired design

When this new entrepreneur reached out to me about a new logo, he sent me some of his photo work that gave me a snap shot of the kind of images he would incorporate in his greeting card and calendar designs.  In the beginning, he thought that a photo-logo was what he was looking for.  After looking over his photos, we decided that a logo built on photographs was not going to be the best representation of his company.

Business logos need to graphically represent a business in a way that gives the viewer a genuine feel of what the company or business is about.  Logos are images, and images invoke feelings.  Logos that are visually pleasing, yet not "busy" looking catch a viewer's eye the best.  Logo designs that incorporate too much wording, or multi-faceted imagery tends to be overwhelming to a viewer.  The meaning and feeling of a logo can quickly become hard to decipher in this case.  So instead of a logo standing out and being remembered by the viewer, it is mentally tossed aside.  This is similar to being introduced to a task or puzzle that immediately seems to hard to tackle, and just want to walk away from it.

G.O.D.S photo artwork is inspired by artistic imagery in the sky.  With this in mind, we went to work designing a logo that gave the feel of radiant imagery, but tried to be careful not to over design the image.  The company name is prominent in the design on purpose.  We wanted people to remember the name of the company with little more than a few seconds of glancing at it.  The color scheme was kept simple, but it has a striking appeal to it.  

This logo was designed from scratch.  No templated designs were incorporated in its creation.  This is truly a unique, one-of-a-kind design for G.O.D.S and we look forward to seeing it on the back of greeting cards and calendars in the near future!
